Bio
Olivia Isabel Rosato is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. A native Californian, she was born and raised in Los Angeles where she received a BA in Fine Art from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017. Her studio practice is focused in oil painting, drawing, and printmaking where she uses softly recognizable imagery and architecture as a vehicle to evoke psychological tension and nostalgia. Her work transforms pictorial space into liminal space, utilizing it as a threshold to explore the emotional resonance of memory, grief, and the interior within constructed space. Her work has been exhibited in group shows in Los Angeles and Chicago. In the Fall of 2024, she continues her education, pursuing an MFA at the University of Chicago.
